Each module can be taken seperately if need be or the whole course can be signed up for and completed over 2 days. If you know somebody else who needs to do this course also why not book together and share the costs!
Module One (3hrs) - This module is delivered in the CBT Group Training Centre classroom's
* Motorcycle Equipment
* Motorcycles and their controls
* Basic Technical Checks
* Taking Machine on and off the stand
* Basic Safety Checks (POWER) and (POWDDER)
* Moving the Machine without aid of engine
* Precautions before starting (FIGS)
* Starting and stopping the engine

Module Two (5hrs) - This module is facilitated at the CBT Group Training Centre Compound.
* Stopping the machine (Theory)
* Moving off & Stopping in controlled fashion
* Ride in a straight line
* Correct use of brakes (all scenarios)
* Gears selecting and changing
* Junctions using the Observation-Signal-Manoeuvre (OSM) and Position Speed-Look (PSL) routines
* Emergency stopping & Slalom
* U Turn manoeuvre
* Figure of eight & Slow Riding under control
* Explanation and Application of the Motorcycle System (OSPSL)

Module Three (3hrs) - This module is at CBT Group Compound / Road & Classroom's.
* Legal Requirements for riding on the road
* Importance of knowing the Rules of the Road
* Visibility - "Be Seen"
* Road Positioning
* Rear Observation at appropriate times
* Road surfaces and Traffic Conditions
* Progress - Fast/Slow
* Hazard perception and anticipation

Module Four (6hrs) - This module is carried out on the public road network / live traffic tuition.
* The application of Module 3 (in practice) whilst on a public road
* Dealing with Junctions
* Dealing with Roundabouts
* Dealing with Traffic controls
* Dealing with Hills (incline & decline)
* Dealing with Hazards and Obstructions

IBT is therefore priced at €740.00 p/p for all 4 modules on a 1:1 ratio but if you attend with another person we can reduce the cost to €495.00 p/p
We intend to offer all IBT applicants the option of an AON/LIBERTY Assessment. This will give a minimum of estimated 25% off your first insurance quote. (Usual price €250)
On road & compound training is limited to a maximum of 2 trainees to 1 instructor. Classroom modules can be up to 10 trainees at any one time reducing costs.
